Open Shop
Starting in 2007, the Sibley Bike Depot announces Free Open Shop hours for the general public. That means that anyone can come to the Sibley Bike Depot during our regular hours and work on your bike at no charge. As part of our goal to teach and empower you to fix your own transportation, we are not currently offering customer repairs. But with expert advice, guidance and the proper tools there are not too many repairs you cannot do yourself! One of our main programs at Sibley Bike Depot is to be a FREE-to-the-public open space to work on bikes. Many people live in apartments and don't have the space or tools to keep their rides running smoothly. You can do it! Ride it like you built it!
While we encourage everyone to become a member of the Sibley Bike Depot, it is not required to use the shop. Our committed members and volunteers are why the Sibley Bike Depot still exists, we would not be open without their countless hours and dedication.
We feel that this change better reflects the spirit of our organization. We are here and available to the public.
