Ride It Like You Built It

In the past many people have called us saying something like, "I'm looking for a 23 inch lightweight steel frame, or a raleigh chain ring with the logo on it, or a set of blue schwinn fenders, or a set of used spd pedals.  Do you have any?  And at the time we may have said no, we don't have any of those right now, but a week later, we are recycling a bike with the exact part needed.  It's uncanny but it happens a lot.  Well, maybe not so uncanny because we really handle a LOT of varied materials in our shop.  I think I've seen most of the old bikes ever made come through.  It's always interesting and fun to discover the oddity.

We used to keep a wishlist by the computer in the office, but I was thinking it would be cool to post the wishlist in our shop in the recycling area, so when stuff comes every volunteer can see it and make sure they save that part!  Then we can contact you and let you know we found it!
